Process Valves
Strahman Process Valves include high-pressure metal seated ball valves, gate valves, metal seated butterfly valves, multi-way diverter valves, in-line piston and disc valves and spray-rinse valves for use in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Ball Valves
Strahman has designed a unique high performance ball valve. The valve has a trunnion-mounted design to handle high pressures. Ball and seats can have special selected surface coatings. This combination makes it suitable for heavy-duty service. The bottom entry design option allows very quick and easy exchange of the valve, without removing the actuation. These valves are available with both full and reduced bore. Possible applications can be found in the polymer, power and mining industries.

Diverter Valves
In virtually every chemical process, there is a need to divert process flow from one pipeline to another. This may be accomplished by the use of multiple valves or it may be done through the use of diverter valves specially designed for this purpose.
Process pumps are sometimes high maintenance items and are thus installed in parallel so that one may be serviced and/or repaired while the other carries the process load. With the use of a diverter valve, changing from one pump to another becomes an easy task with no process flow shutdown being necessary.
Disc Type
Disc type diverter valves are specially designed to divert one main flow into two separate flows. The valves are designed to minimize retention areas and are bi-directional. They are often used in full vacuum applications in combination with high temperatures.
Plunger Type
To divert high viscosity products, polymers and slurries, no-dead-space valves are mandatory. Full piston design avoids product build up and clogging of the valve. Strahman offers a full range of piston diverter valves specially designed for this purpose, these valves can be customized to match any piping layout.
In-Line Valves
In-line piston valves are no-dead-space valves. They are typically used with high viscosity products in combination with high pressures and temperatures.
With a wide range of positive sealing systems like M seal, dual seal, M ring seal and control plug, these valves offer superior in line tightness. When opening the piston or disc retracts completely into the valve body. This provides an unrestricted full flow.
The valves are available with a wide choice of options such as metallurgy, seat arrangement, sealing systems to prevent atmospheric leakage and various types of actuation. Other possible options are full jacketing and vacuum package.
In-line disc and piston valves are bi-directional.
